Loughborough University is seeking an individual with a passion for physical activity and wellbeing to develop and lead the University’s physical activity and recreational sport programmes. As a key member of the Development Team, the successful candidate will contribute positively and collaboratively to achieve the wider outcomes that sport and physical activity present, such as improving physical and mental wellbeing, ensuring our offer is diverse and inclusive, and strengthening our consistently positive student experience.
This position will be responsible for the management of diverse recreational sport and physical activity opportunities that enable our students to participate regularly in activities relevant to their interests and needs, including our leading MyLifestyle programme, Active Campus and Active Referral scheme.
We are looking for an individual that can empathise with students and understand their barriers to participation in physical activity and sport and be able to problem-solve creatively to identify ways to address this within a University context. You will be tasked with working across departments to ensure the Loughborough Sport offer is accessible and appealing to a wide audience of students and will lead projects with targeted demographic groups.
The usual working pattern will be Monday-Friday; at peak times during University terms the role will include the need to work flexibly, including evening and weekend work.
